Here are pictures of some of the more interesting projects that have come through the shop.

Burnt Piano Project

                     Before                                                                   After

Here we have a piano that experienced a small fire when a candle ignited a photograph.  Replacement parts were not available for this older model and repair was the only hope.

Fake Graining Project

Before Fake Rosewood on Antique PianoFake Rosewood on Antique Piano

                    Before                                                       After

Here we have a piano that had lost its lid.  The owners had a new lid made, but it was made of maple and not of rosewood.  The lid needed to match the piano, thus fake graining was used to match the lid to the piano.

Here we have a 1900 Steinway and Sons Art case piano I restored for a local technician.  Over the years, the piano had been painted green.  Many hours of finish removal, carving replication, and cabinet damage repair went into this job before the formal rubbed black lacquer was applied and rubbed to a satin sheen.
